Ggees secure Elvstroem filly with Robbie Griffiths

Ggees have acquired an Elvstroem filly, out of Bella Jinsky (Encosta de Lago) to race with Robbie Griffiths at Cranbourne. Robbie is currently having a great run and is sitting 10th on the overall Victorian trainers premiership and metropolitan trainers premiership.

The Easter Yearling Sale is considered the most prestigious yearling sale of the year, with only 600 well bred, well conformed youngsters making the grade. Booboisie trials and goes on holiday

Booboisie completed her second trial at Caulfield this morning, ridden by Damien Oliver. This fitness campaign was all a bit much for her, after having her first barrier trial the week before with Jason Maskiell on board - Booboisie is now ready for a spell.

The Stratum - Balmoral Belle filly has been officially named Booboisie (pronounced Boob-wa-ze). The filly's sire Stratum is defined as: A level of society composed of people with similar social, cultural, or economic status * Booboisie is defined as *“A class consisting of those who are considered boobs”. As this filly will be raising money for a great cause being the National Breast Cancer Foundation - we found the name to be quite apt.

The Herald Sun reported that racetrack rivals Snitzel and Stratum, both smart sprinting sons of Danehill are ready to dominate the sire ranks with their first crop of 2yo's gracing the tracks. This is promising news with our Stratum - Balmoral Belle filly currently going through her first educational campaign at Caulfield under the guidance of Tony Vasil. Stratum filly completes breaking

Nick Bompas, who has finished the Stratum filly's breaking in prepration has described her as a nice, smart filly. A little small at this stage, but well proportioned. She did everything right through the breaking process and is easy to work with. She carries herself nicely and is happy to be in training. She had barrier and track experience, upsides and between horses.

Stratum filly naming dinner

The Stratum filly syndicate is now complete, with all ladies in the horse attending a naming dinner on Tuesday night. While the ladies are busy enjoying a three course meal and debating over names - the filly has commenced her first steps towards becoming a racehorse.

Permaiscuous becomes a mother

Permaiscuous had her first foal on 24 September 2008 - a healthy colt by Encosta de Lago. Permaiscous is once again in foal to Encosta De Lago - once again she will be due to foal in September. Ironically - Permaiscuous gave birth to her first foal in the same week that she had her first and last race starts at Flemington ; the launch of the Spring Racing Carnival.

Ggees signature horse, Permaiscuous scored her third consecutive victory in winning the Listed Cinderella Stakes at Morphettville in South Australia on Adelaide Cup day. A percentage of prizemoney was donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation from the win.
