Giving To The National Breast Cancer Foundation
The National Breast Cancer Foundation is the only national not-for-profit organisation that is dedicated to supporting and promoting high quality research into the prevention, detection and treatment of breast cancer. The Foundation is committed to funding high quality research responsive to the needs and interests of women affected by breast cancer.
Since being established in 1994, the Foundation has funded 93 Research Grants, 1 Career Development Award, 2 Postdoctoral Fellowships, 12 Scholarships and two Enabling Grants across Australia, to a total of $20 million, as well as providing research equipment. Ggees Pty Ltd has aligned with the National Breast Cancer Foundation and in doing Ggees will support the charity in a number of ways:
- Compulsory five percent of all net prizemonies wn by our racehorses to be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation
- Ggees members will have the option to donate a larger percentage of winnings by signing a disclosure form
- Ggees will support all Breast Cancer fundraising efforts by promoting the events to all ladies involved with Ggees and to the wider population where possible.
- Ggees will support Breast Cancer functions including pink ribbon breakfast, Think Pink Ball etc
- Ggees racehorses will carry the approved Breast Cancer support racing colours, Black, pink breast cancer ribbon and pink cap
- Ggees will request racehorses (where able) to race with pink ribbons plaited into racehorses mane
- Ggees will promote where possible the affiliation with the National Breast Cancer Foundation and awareness of Breast Cancer and fundraising efforts as guided by the National Breast Cancer Foundation
