Why Become a Ggees Lady?
You will race a filly with 20 like minded Ggees ladies. The concept provides for a fantastic social and business networking experience for all Ggees members.
Ggees Pty Ltd (ggees) provides the opportunity to lease a filly that will provide Ggees ladies with a fantastic entrée into racehorse ownership without the cost of purchasing a racehorse.
Ggees only race fillies (female horses), both to provide consistency within the ladies theme, to race better quality leased fillies who will be retained by the breeder after her racing career.

GGees Objectives:
- To introduce, promote and attract women into horse racing's social arena
- To provide a platform for social/business networking for women.
- To promote Breast Cancer Awareness.
- To assist the National Breast Cancer Foundation in its fundraising efforts.
- To provide Ggees ladies with enjoyable horse racing experiences.
- To provide business development opportunities for corporate women.
- To provide social interaction for non-corporate women.
- To be a part of a leading racing stables.
How it Works
A filly is leased, not purchased, and is raced by the Ggees members There is no horse purchasing cost.
- Normal three-year lease conditions apply.
- The filly will be trained & maintained by the appointed horse trainer.
- GGees Pty Ltd will manage the filly and all GGees associated events.
- Ggees website with contain news on Ggees horses, functions and information relating to the Ggees members and related activities.
- An ongoing membership fee of $195 per month applies to cover the ongoing cost of normal training fees and upkeep of the racehorse, administration costs, organisation of Ggees member functions & social events.
Costs Involved
To be involved in concept – it will simply cost a Ggees monthly membership fee of $195 per month with no upfront costs – WHY DO YOU ASK??
Leasing, as opposed to ownership means that the racehorse is owned by someone else. Therefore Ggees will sign into a lease agreement on behalf of Ggees members. This means the following:
- Ggees members do not have to purchase the horse
- The agreement is for a period of three years
- The cost of the lease – a contractually binding agreement between two parties, the lessor (owner) and the lessee (us – Ggees )
- Ggees can break the lease agreement if the horse is not performing as expected, the horse can be returned with the option to lease another horse from the owner (lessor) if available.
- The owner (lessor) will retain 25% of the prizemoney as part of the contractual agreement
- Monthly ongoing costs – which are inclusive, Ggees social & networking functions, training expenses, upkeep of the horse, lease agreement, registration fees, and administration costs will be:
A Ggees membership fee of $195 per month includes Five Functions a year that are included in the fee.
